Colt Van Patter
Division: Cadet Recurve
Shooting competitively since he was eight years old, Colt has enjoyed success as a compound shooter ranking in the top three in his division in Arizona for the last six years. In 2010, he was ranked 12th in the nation. In November of 2010 he converted to the Olympic Recurve. He has been working closely with National Coach of the Year, Mel Nichols and although he is not ranked in the top of his division currently, he is showing promise with this new bow.
In addition to his passion for archery, Colt also engages in a number of other sports. He earned is Varsity letter in wrestling in 2012 as a high school freshman. In junior high school is participated in track and field, cross-country and basketball. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and disc golf.
He is a member of National Junior Honor Society, and has been on the honor roll at school every year since First Grade. In addition to his many sporting activities, Colt also holds the highest rank in Scouting, that of Eagle Scout.
